Letterkenny Tuesday

Back at home, scraping by until tomorrow. I mean, we’re not starving, but it’s not exactly party time today. Friday. Friday is party time though. I’ll bring the camera.

Monday

Still at home. Missed my bus like a moron. There were two buses sitting there, the one directly behind the car was to Galway, mine was to Derry. The Derry bus pulled up behind the Galway bus, and then pulled away before the Galway bus. Stupid mistake I know. Home tomorrow it is then.

Sunday

Eh? No chin beard. And some snazzy new pajamas (Pyjamas?) I’d never really considered wearing extra clothes to bed, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t nice and cosy when you wake up. Go buy some, they’re awesome.

Saturday

Getting well tired of this beard. It has begun to drive me nuts. I looked back, and I’ve had some sort of chin beard since February 17th or something. I’m going to shave it. *itch*

Friday at 8.20am

People get up this early in the morning? Earlier you say? That’s barbaric. I had a very odd dream about lost and lil’ wayne last night, and while trying to piece together the disparate flashes of phantom memory at 7.40am I realised that I wasn’t going to be able to fall asleep again for some reason. It wasn’t from a lack of being tired…

A cold panic took hold of me: I hadn’t put out the bins. (That trash cans to my American followers) Now, this may not seem such a bad thing, however we have an alternating bin system, which a lot of my readers may have. Week 1, we put out the blue recycling bin, and week 2 we put out the black, or green household waste bin.

It’s a good system, it encourages recycling, and it means you have less waste over all. However! If you happen to miss a week, then you have to wait a further 2 weeks to get the blue or black bin picked up.

With our black bin already packed, I legged it downstairs, dragged the remarkably heavy bin around to the front of the house and heaved it up to the kerb. The truck hadn’t arrived at that time, so it was a victory for doing things at the very last minute.

This real life sort of stuff is harder than it looks.

Oh yeah, I’m going back to mema’s place for the weekend. Everybody needs a little chill out time, and mine chill out place is mema’s. See you in a few hours ma.

EDIT: Hey check it out, 150 posts.

So… how was your Thursday?

Mine was pretty standard. Mooched around, had dinner, watched Red Dragon, which I had wanted to see for a long time, ever since I caught 5 minutes of it on TV, and having watched Silence of the Lambs recently.

Fiddling with the settings on my camera again. This is widescreen mode. Pretty big now that I look at it… More tomorrow.

Oh, and If you want a more by the minute update on what I’m doing go to my Twitter or Plurk accounts.

If I’m a day or two late posting, you’ll probably figure out why over on twitter or plurk.

Welfare Wednesday

Man do I ever want a job. Or at least some source of income that’s fun to earn. Jesus this sucks. Ah well, economic crisis it is then.

On the up side Sin and I were up early enough to go into town and get a Mc Donalds breakfast. I’ve never had one, and in Sin they invoke memories of the LA riots so it was a fun morning discussing the taste of the maple syrup and how awesome the sausage mc muffins are. I mean damn, it was awesome. And for those of you that don’t know, it’s a burger made out of sausage meat. And you can get a double. Two breakfasts for 13 dollars. I’ll call that a win. But getting out of bed before 10am sucks.

The breakfast in question. The tea wasn’t that bad either.

What’s the deal with Tuesday?

Seriously. Nothing ever happens on a Tuesday. The best Tuesday can be is the day before Wednesday. Which happens to be good for me because tomorrow is dole day and everything is getting a little thin on the ground. I mean, we’re never really on the brink of starvation, but occasionally sitting around eating jam sandwiches cursing the government. But tomorrow all shall be well. Always is.

Forgot to tell you guys, I got a picture of Frank yesterday. Forgot to post it. So here it is.

He was in the middle of animating when I took the picture. So if you’ve ever wondered what an animator looks like, there you go.

Another Monday

It sucks being broke, but on the plus side, I’ve discovered that a 25g pack of rolling tobacco will last me at least 4 days, so that’s a serious saving on my smoking habit. I am very partial to a nice pack of ready made Mayfair, but they cost 1 euro less, and last half that time. So it’s a toss up really: More effort for longer lasting cigarettes, or more expensive but more convenient. I shall run some more tests.
