And a Friday once more

Something weird happens when I try to take a picture of my face from straight ahead; one of my eyes wanders off of it’s own accord. It’s a pain, so I

Man there’s a lot of partying going on this two weeks. It’ll be fun, but man it’s going to be draining.

Wednesday

So today’s picture is rather ridiculous, so I’m going to bury it among the others from Kev’s birthday party.

Happy Birthday Kev. Hope you had as much fun as we all did.

Kilt Tuesday

It arrived! My kilt arrived. It actually arrived yesterday, but I was still at home, so I finally got a chance to put it on. And it is really comfortable.

I love it. Word to the wise though: if you’re getting one, order up one size. I ordered a 40, when I’m about a 38-39, and though it first I would have preferred a 42. It’s easier to adjust down that it is to adjust up.

I got mine from The Scotland Kilt Company, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The delivery was a lot faster than estimated, there were no shipping costs and it’s only 45 euros for the entry level kilts.

For the Americans out there you might want to try Sport Kilt. They have similar prices, similar offers and similar kilts, many of which with newer twists, like pockets.

Get one. Now. Seriously, go, get one.

Tool Review: Challenge Xtreme Impact Drill

Hello there are welcome to the second of The Mad Carpenter’s tool reviews. Today we have a look at the power drill, one of the corner stones of the woodworking world. You need a drill these days; either for driving screws, drilling pilot holes or drilling… larger holes. It seems really limited, but trust me, it gets you out of a lot of work at times.

I splashed out 30 euros for this drill, which isn’t a lot to some, but I’m on a very fixed budget. There was one for half the price of this one, but it didn’t include a carry case, and I thought I’d splash out a bit.

More pictures and reviewing after the jump.

Sunday 12th

It has become nigh on impossible to come up with interesting titles. So I’ll just stop trying for a while. It’s Sunday, welcome to it.

I’ll put the tool review up today. Of the drill.

Back at home Saturday

Each day seems to be blending into the next these days, the weeks are just continuations of one another, the months tumble by like so many marbles in a knock off version of Kerplunk.

So breaking the routine, even by coming home for a few days and mooching some free food. Anything that gets you out of the house.
