Greetings from the 6th of January here in a freezing cold in Ireland. I spent an hour unblocking the drain outside, and I’ll tell you what, I need a damn beer after that.
The Whitechapel Porter is in honour of Warren Ellis and his Freakangels comic. A Steam Punk tale in post apocalyptic London. It’s currently up to episode 40 and it’s free to everyone. A fine web comic.
Also I’m celebrating a lovely phone call between my girlfriend and I this morning. We shared a beautiful little moment and even though we’re 7000 miles apart, I’ve never felt closer to her.
I’ve got Sol, but I’m not a soldier
…. Ok fine, so I couldn’t resist.
I had a lot of Sol while I was in Mexico. Sometimes I see it at the liquor store. Yum. Never have seen the Whitechapel.
Sol is awesome, and I’ve never had Whitechapel either, but I’ve developed a taste for ale in the last year, so I thought I’d give it a bash.
Thinking about reviewing it, as well as my Connemara whiskey. Maybe do a twinned blog thing with Celestina and Walt, with their booze reviews.
